Also from what I can tell those grips look original. If it is marked 'R' and you do not have the original parts then that will diminish collector value or so I have been told. Usually when Ruger handled a conversion they marked the grip frame 'R' but sometimes they did not. Mine look a lot worse The fact that it has already had the transfer bar conversion does change collector value unless you have the original parts that were removed. Then again it doesn't look that bad as it is.

Ruger doesn't list serial#'s or years in between. When looking it up on ruger website, my number falls in between 19. Was thinking of touching up the worn bluing and possibly sanding out the dings and scratches on the grip frame, then polishing it. And the grip frame is dinged up and scratches where someone was careless with screwdriver removing screws.ġ. Condition is fair, the bluing is worn along left side of barrel.
